Service Terms
Updated October 30, 2026
These are the general guidelines for SmallBizToWeb website design services. Before a paid project begins, I will confirm the specific scope, price, payment arrangement, and support terms with you in writing. If those terms differ, the signed or otherwise accepted project agreement will control.
Free concepts and estimates
A free website preview is a preliminary design concept, not a finished or published website. I may decline or limit preview requests. A request does not obligate either of us to enter a paid project.
Website setup and pricing
The advertised $99 introductory offer is for qualifying one-page starter websites, including the first year of a standard-priced domain registration, basic mobile-friendly design, basic SEO setup, appropriate contact links, and two reasonable revision rounds within the agreed scope. Premium domains, extra pages, custom systems, ecommerce, extensive content preparation, and other advanced features may require an additional quote. Introductory pricing can be changed or discontinued for new inquiries at any time; an accepted written quote will be honored according to its terms.
Payment and launch
A free preview does not require payment. For accepted projects, payment is generally due after approval and before I register the domain and publish the finished site. I will explain available methods before sending an invoice. The completion date depends on the work, the information and approvals I receive, and domain setup.
Customer content and approvals
You are responsible for confirming that details about your business or project are accurate and that you have permission to use supplied or approved logos, images, text, and trademarks. I may use publicly available information to draft website content, but I ask you to approve it before launch. I do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, inquiries, or sales.
Domains, hosting and ownership
Domain registration usually needs annual renewal. The starter package covers the first year for a qualifying standard domain. Further renewal is included for eligible standard domains while an active Website Care Plan remains paid and in good standing; otherwise, renewal is the customer's responsibility. Domain registration, hosting access, transfer arrangements, and responsibility for future charges will be confirmed in the project agreement. After full payment, you receive the agreed rights to your finished website and custom content, subject to licenses for third-party resources.
Optional care
The optional $39/month Website Care Plan includes reasonable monitoring and troubleshooting, necessary security-related adjustments where applicable, standard domain renewal while eligible, and up to 30 minutes of minor content updates per month. Unused edit time does not roll over, and major redesigns or new functionality are separate projects. Care is month-to-month, with billing and cancellation procedures set out in your agreement. The plan is not required to own your site. Without it, you may manage your site independently or purchase assistance as needed.
Support and third-party tools
I generally respond to email inquiries within one business day but do not guarantee 24/7 availability or uninterrupted service. Website hosting, domain registration and optional features such as contact forms may depend on independent third-party providers and their terms, pricing, and technical availability.
